Miss Bouton was an inspirational teacher of mine from 1969 until I graduated from Sayre High School in 1971. She is one of the reasons I, too, became a business education teacher. Miss Bouton exemplified the best traits of an excellent teacher; she was understanding, kind, clear in instructions, and always ready to give you extra assistance. She was always highly prepared and at least one step or two ahead of the students. Her manner was one of a person of dignity and grace. She will always be remembered fondly by this former shorthand, typing, and office practice student. Rest in peace, Miss Bouton. Love, Ann Marshall Griffith Sayre High School, Class of 1971
