Harriet "Betty" Elisabeth Bouton, 100 of Waverly passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA. Betty was born on August 27, 1911 in Waverly, NY the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Virginia Canoll Bouton. Betty was a graduate of Waverly High School, Class of 1928 and of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Betty was a teacher of subjects in Sayre and Athens Area School for 41 years; retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Waverly Presbyterian Church and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees. Betty was an avid reader and knitter. She is survived by three cousins and a dear best friend Carolyn M. Cole of Sayre, PA. At her wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery, Waverly, NY.
